Information about bed and breakfast accommodations in Long Beach California.

Beachrunners' Inn
Bed and breakfast accommodations in a 1913 home in the Bluff Heights Historic District of Long Beach, about three blocks from the ocean. Features five rooms, three of which have private bathrooms with showers. Rooms have either king, queen, or full size beds. The room rates of $100-$135 per night include a continental breakfast and there is a hot tub on the grounds. Located at 231 Kennebec Avenue in Long Beach. Dockside Boat and Bed
Long Beach visitors are invited to sleep on a large or small yacht docked at the Rainbow Harbor in downtown Long Beach. All of the yachts have refrigerators, freezers, coffee makers, microwave ovens, and bread toasters and there is a gas barbecue on the dock. Boats are stocked with plates, cutlery, wine glasses, champagne glasses, coffee, tea, light snacks, and bottled water. The boats also have DVD players and a small DVD library. Last time I checked five yachts were available, and they ranged from 40 to 54 feet in length. Nightly rates are about $220 to $325 per night, depending on the yacht and the day of the week. NOTE: these accommodations do not include breakfast but they do include coffee, tea, light snacks and bottled water.

Turret House Bed and Breakfast (closed for now)
I have stayed at elegant Turret House Bed and Breakfast at 556 Chestnut Avenue in the past but I don't think it is receiving guests any longer because the Turret House Web site is no longer online and I have also seen it listed for sale as recently as April of 2009 for $895,000. Located in the Wilmore Drake Historic District of Long Beach at 556 Chestnut Avenue in Long Beach. ABOUT THE TURRET HOUSE: It has five themed guest rooms, all with private bathrooms, clawfoot tubs, showers, and fireplaces. Rooms are the Turret Room, Provincetown Room, Queen Mary Room, Vagabond Room, and the Dreamcatcher Room. There is an outdoor hot tub on the grounds. The building was constructed in 1906 and it was last renovated inn 2003.
