2013 Martin Luther King Day Events in Long Beach
the 25th annnual Martin Luther King, Jr. Peace and Unity Parade and Celebration will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013. The parade will begin at 10:30 and the celebration will be from 12:30 to 5:00 p.m. at Martin Luther King Park, 1950 Lemon Afcvenue in Long Beach.

- 2012 January 14 (Sat): Unity Celebration: 12 noon to 5:30 p.m.

2012 Long Beach MLK Candlelight Peace March
The last few years there has been a Martin Luther King Candlelight Peace March in Long Beach about a week before the Martin Luther King Day Weekend, at King Park, 1950 Lemon Avenue, across the street from Long Beach City College.

The Long Beach Martin Luther King Day Parade usually begins about 10:30 a.m. at Martin Luther King Avenue and Anaheim Street and ends at Martin Luther King Jr. Park where an all day family festival follows the parade. The Long Beach Martin Luther King Day Parade is also known as the Martin Luther King Jr. Peace and Unity Parade.

Long Beach Martin Luther King Day Festival
The Long Beach Martin Luther King Day Festival and Unity Celebration takes place at Martin Luther King Jr. Park, immediately after the Long Beach MLK Day Parade. the festival features live music and entertainment, carnival rides, arts and crafts, games for kids, food booths, other vendor booths, and historic displays.

INVITATION FROM THE CITY OF LONG BEACH: "The City of Long Beach invites you to participate in commemorating the memory of one of our nation's greatest heroes, Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. The Peace and Unity Parade Celebration is on Saturday, January 15, 2011, commencing at 10:30 a.m. The parade will originate on Martin Luther King, Jr. Avenue and Anaheim Street and will proceed North to Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. At the conclusion of the parade the celebration will continue with the...

2011 Martin Luther King Day Celebration at Martin Luther King, Jr. Park. The festival program will include quality entertainment, food booths, craft and merchandise vendors. Also, there will be a children and teen area, that will include games and rides. The hours will be from 12:30 pm to 5:00 pm. PARKING WILL BE AVAILABLE AT LONG BEACH CITY COLLEGE. SHUTTLES WILL TRANSPORT VISITORS TO THE PARADE VENUE BETWEEN 8:00 and 10:00 a.m.
